Trellis Toddler Scarf
Spring has finally on its way here in New England. Spring is fickle here, one day it’s 60 degrees and sunny and the next it’s back down to 40 and raining. Ultimately, what it means is that it’s still a perfect time for hand knits. Spring is a perfect time for hand knit accessories like scarves, fingerless mitts, ponchos, cardigans and they look marvelous when done in pretty spring colors. Have you seen our new spring colors? Check out Sailor’s Sky, Beach Rose, Beach, Bayside, Bisque and Surf just to name a few and then there’s always Barnacle, Cape Cod, Brooklyn, Buoy and Peony that are perfect for this time of year.
Brooklyn now has the perfect accessory for Spring. It started out as a test knit for Annie Rowden that I finished back in February. At the time I didn’t fully appreciate how handy this knit would become. First (and most importantly), Brooklyn loves wearing a scarf! Who knew?! Second, it’s the perfect accessory to throw on with her vest and layer up without bulking up when going out on a spring day. And Lastly, toddler’s look adorable in grown up gear! The pattern (Trellis Cowl & Scarf) also includes an option for a cowl which I think would be darling! I definitely recommend this knit. It was super fast (sport weight yarn and size 7 needles) and ingeniously easy. A great beginner project!
