WIP and What’s Next

I keep saying “I want to be one of those people, who have a closet full of hand-knit baby blankets just at the ready to give away”. I really admire those people who have put countless hours into baby blankets that just sit, waiting for babies to be born and be given as gifts.  I’m going to admit that I don’t really think I’ll ever manage to be one of those people, but I am going to try! So I am working on a baby blanket, and this is the very first time I have knit something with no intended recipient. It’s quite strange and goes a little bit against my grain for a few reasons. 1. – I am usually so excited with a finished object that I want to find SOMEONE to give it to. 2. – This project has no deadline, which is kind of bad for me if I ever expect to finish something. I’m about to create a self-imposed deadline so that I hurry up and get it done!

I’ll be writing up the pattern to share with you once this is complete and tested, so stay tuned!

In the meantime, I’m having a little bit of, hmmm what’s the word….. knitting lust? I’ve been favoriting all kinds of patterns on Ravelry and I’m wanting to start all of them right now. I might allow myself to two-time and cast another project on before I finish this blanket (and there goes my deadline).  I’m thinking one of the following for either me or for Brooklyn.
