Our Newest Knitter

Meet Nora. Nora is our sweet, sweet niece. She’s growing up way too fast but she loves every second of it. She’s a very curious girl and she’s been begging to learn how to knit. Her right-handed aunts, mother and grandma couldn’t quite figure out the whole left-handed business to teach her correctly.

On Tuesday my mom took her to Knitting Criations where Pam, the owner, took great care of Nora. She got her cast-on and knitting right along.  It turns out that she is a girl after our own heart because she said the first thing she did yesterday when she woke up was knit! I am very excited for her so I stopped by before work to see for myself and share with you!  (Click on the photo below to watch Nora Knit!)

  3. I know that as her mom, I don’t really have a reliable opinion, but I do love this post! Nory is loving every minute. She was up early this morning, knitting away. She had such a great time with Pam, and keeps talking about her. Thanks, Kara!

  4. What a great post! It made me smile HUGE! Also love the choice of song you picked! Remember that from when we were little Kara? Looks like you are doing AWESOME Nora! I am so proud of you!

  5. Nora was really intent on learning when we went for her lesson. Looks like she is doing great! Keep it up, Nora. Pam will be happy too! Aunt Kara and you look alot alike in this picture especially!

  6. Hello Nora this is one of your favorite Uncles here. Seeing as how your Aunt has been making a ton of new outfits for herself could I ask you to make me a sweater. I’m thinking you could get me one quicker…..
    Keep up the good work.

    Uncle Drew.

Please don’t tell your other Uncles that I was on this blog site. OK.

  7. Great job, Nora! Elisa has been begging to learn how to knit, too, something more exciting than making potholders. I don’t know if I have the patience for it, but maybe when you have it figured out you can share some left-handed secrets with her!
